  1. Why this President meets each and every so-called delegations that comes to Somaliland, whether they are like Chinese guys who were wearing dress that does not meet the any known protocol. As a head of State, he should delegate his Ministers to meet the low-level visitors. Boljireh

  2. Dahir riyaale kahin in his usual, unusual, sloppy attire. And wow, wow i say, what a fabulously decorated room. C'mon, if they want to be taken seriously at least present yourself in the best possible way. the room should be de-cluttered. And how vain is he, having a picture of himself, just behind him, in his own office. There are about 3 differnt carperts in the room, a million and a half items on the walls and Riyaale's desk. HAVE THEY NEVER HEARD OF PR. AND THE CHAIRS, WHY!?!!!!, get some proper chairs. Why is riyaale sitting on a seperate desk. You can see in picture 3 that they have to turn to face him, have a round table!. This is positive critique, to improve the image of the country. AS TESCO SAY, EVERY LITTLE HELPS!!!

  3. I think that the President should meet with delegations strategically in order to be taken seriously. I don't think it's wise for him to meet with just every little Joe Blow that decides to visit his office but should limit himself to meeting with high level delegates of other countries. Just my opinion though.

And for those making fun of his attire, what do you expect from an uneducated qat dealer? He's a lot better off than when he first got into office because in the immediate aftermath of Egal's death I heard that he was wearing clothing with holes in them; so I guess this is an improvement for him. Maybe he'll learn about suits in the 20th year of his dictatorship.

  4. Boqoljireh, what a useless comment. These foreign delegations meet with relevant ministers and then they get to meet the President. What is your point? President Rayale is not above meeting any delegations if its in the interest of Somaliland. I guess you want some imperial president who is so full of himself that he locks himself away in an ivory tower. The President will meet with any and every delegation from both at home and abroad. That is the kind of person he is. In this case, the delegation from Yemen is quite an important. Be objective, stop being so partisan (KULMIYE).

  5. I agree with the critisism of the decor and the clutter but I bet you the Yemenis did not notice since they are more flambotant and vain, I have never been to yemen but my visit to other Arab nations, the pictures of their leaders are everywhere including on private cars.

  6. A gossip in the internet that Israel is ready to recognize Somaliland and the Arab World wake up out of its amnesia. I am sure many 'arab delegations' will drop by the president's office to say Hello.

    @Boqoljire,
I bet you are in the interior design buz. The position of President's personal decorator and designer hasn't been taken up yet. Wanna give it a try?

  7. It is sad to see such vitroil from the KULMIYE crowd. I think President Rayale is more humble and more welcoming than any other leader, perhaps Faisal Ali Warabe runs a close second. I don’t understand the point these folks are making, there are men here talking about interior design, xaraam caleek, The President is right to meet all delegation from both at home and abroad in the interest of Somaliland. Have the KULMIYE crowd been reduced to talking about interior decoration?

    • Hurguf,

"It is sad to see such vitroil from the" UDUB crowd, as i do not support or have any loyalties toward KULMIYE. Do you see your hippocracy? I see you're caught up in party politics, do you put the party before your country?

You say you didn't uderstand the point raised about the way the room was presented so let me explain to you. To say i was speaking of interior design, is exaggeration to say the least. I was simply talking about the way in which the room was presented, it is common sense to present your self in the best way. There is a difference between de-cluttering a room and redesigning it.

This was constructive critisism that the government could benefit from. Somone spoke about hiring am interior designer… If they're going to spend the money they need advise on more important things like the economy, tax and a million other things they're useless at.

  8. Digaale, you have just admitted that all you care about is interior design. That is a woman’s job. Find something else to comment on. Stop making a fool out of yourself.

  9. Hurguf, You sound like a typical guy from the bush… First you assumed too much and then you talked too much but if I was a ref in the back and forth between you and Digale, I would give it to Digale hands down, His critisism was spot on but I guess you do not see it since your home probably is way more cluttered than Hargeisa state house.

Unfortunately Somalis in general are terrible at taking critisism. We think we are perfect.

  10. All the three Presidential candidates suck but seven yrs for Rayale is enough, we are at the point that America was in 2008 where Americans said 8 is enough.

Somaliland is saying that 7 is enough and Rayale knows it and that is the reason he is clinging as much as he can and now trying to fool us with these FAKE delegations from Russia and Yemen.

  11. fake delegations …I dont think so ,trying the wait and watch policy Abdi that might help you control ya anger.anyone who's ready to support the formation of this beutifull country is welcomed Arabs its about time you fools woke up to the truth….Somaliland is a fact and not all somali people are the same .
    Viva somaliland
"by the way people we dont need the Arabs nor the russian's they both can go to hell
