Somaliland’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism has revoked the license of Integrated Shipping Services, a shipping company.

The company is accused of facilitating the illegally entering to the port of Berbera by the head of Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise, Mr. Roba Megersa without seeking permission from the proper authorities.

A statement released by the Somaliland Ministry of Commerce and signed by the Minister of Commerce stated as follows: –

The Somaliland Ministry of Commerce has with immediate effect revokes the license of Integrated Shipping Services for facilitating the illegal entry to the port of Berbera by the head of Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise, Mr. Roba Megersa without informing or seeking permission from the proper authorities, this in breach of the laws of the Republic of Somaliland.

Furthermore, the operating licenses of Integrated Shipping Services expired on the 23rd of Feb 2021.

In accordance with the Somaliland Ports Authority requirements and regulations, the Somaliland Ministry of Commerce hereby with immediate effect revokes license Number 46 belonging to Integrated Shipping Services.

The above-mentioned company whose licenses have been revoked may not operate or engage in any businesses as of 15/07/2021.
