The outgoing deputy Minister of investment and industrial development for Somaliland, Amina Elmi Fareed has become the only female lawmaker in Somaliland Parliament after she was sworn in today by the supreme court.
She became the eligible candidate to fill the seat left vacant by the Late MP Nuur Osman Guled upon his death as the country’s constitution stipulates is to be filled by the top candidates on the party’s waiting list.
