After being founded almost fifty years ago, Kenyan forces have never seen a regular battleground. This has made them to become the only force in the region that enjoyed receiving hefty salaries, training, equipment and promotions without delivering or carrying out any duty.

In April 2008, the global human rights body  Human Rights Watch wrote this report about Kenyan army “The rebel Sabaot Land Defence Force and the Kenyan military are responsible for horrific abuses, including killings, torture and rape of civilians, in a little-known armed conflict in the Mt. Elgon area of western Kenya”.

In another report, issued in 2013 , Human Rights Watch in detailed documentation of human rights abuses says ” Rather than conducting investigations to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of grenade attacks in the country, both the police and army responded with violent reprisals against Kenyan citizens and Somali refugees”.

The report continues by saying “There were numerous cases where Kenyan security forces responded to the attacks by abusing civilians. Documented abuses included rape and attempted sexual assault; beatings; arbitrary detention; extortion; the looting and destruction of property; and various forms of physical mistreatment, including forcing victims to sit in water, to roll on the ground in baking temperatures, or to carry heavy loads while standing on one spot or while walking around for extended periods. Despite government promises to investigate, there have been no investigations and no security official has faced disciplinary action in relation to the abuses”. Despite all these bad manners,Kenyan forces were given a chance to join in the global war against Somali extremists in Southern Somalia. Many Somalis have a dream of having lasting peace and elimination of Al Shabab terror group, which is responsible of atrocities and different sorts of crimes against civilians.

But, when the Kenyan forces took the port city of Kismayo, they switched into involvement of local politics by supporting one clan against the others. In February 2013 Kenyan army sided with Ogaden militants against the Marehan fighters in Kismayo. Later on Kenyan army has facilitated a one clan show by Ahmed Madobe, a former Al Shabab member, who declared himself as president of Jubbaland.

Ahmed Madobe,a refugee from Ethiopia, was opposed by all local clans on the ground, while he is working hard to shed the blood of innocent Somalis, who are tired of the endless wars.

Acknowledging the fact that Madobe is not the choice Jubbaland’s people, the Kenyan intelligence has taken the role to promote him through media.

According to intelligence and media sources in Kenya, there are daily opinion pieces written in the Kenyan media, which appear with fake names to deceive the public.

Some of the weird articles by Kenyan intelligence on daily newspapers are as follow:

http://www.nation.co.ke/oped/Opinion/-/440808/1858968/-/jiq5nqz/-/index.html

http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/?articleID=2000083944&story_title=kenya-government-walks-a-tightrope-in-somalia-as-kismayo-gets-new-leader&pageNo=1

http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/?articleID=2000083945&story_title=mogadishu-fights-law-on-federal-states

Many believe that this is the work of clan minded Kenyan intelligence junior officer Nuradin Yusuf Haji, the son of the former state minister for defence in Kenya.

The so called opinion pieces of Nuradin and his team reminds us of 2011 meeting between Kenyan intelligence and Kenyan local media, in which all media had been ordered to do propaganda news for Kenyan forces, as soon as they launch their military incursion in southern Somalia.

In 1986, an innocent referee approved Diego Armando Maradona’s handball goal that helped Argentina defeat England in football World Cup.  May be Kenyan intelligence has that event in mind and they want to approve the wrong goal of Ahmed Madobe by using the media, something that cannot be possible in this 21st century.

The people of Jubbaland are peace lovers, and they are determined to take part in the war against Al Shabab, but what they will never swallow is to bring a refugee as their leader.

We call upon the world to stop Kenya in interfering Somali politics, and remain as peacekeepers like any peacekeeping troops in Somalia.

Somalia has today a regular and functioning government, and the best advise is to work with the Mogadishu government in order to have a peaceful Horn of Africa region.

  1. No, Somali with any morality or any common senses thinking, will ever trust Kenya and its armed forces. This is the same armed forces who destroyed homes, raped Somali girls and women , put the whole generations of Somalis from an elder person to babies in a concentration camps, because they were born from a wrong tribe called Somali. Every Somali ethnic groups, who have lived in northern frontier district or knows the history of that region will ever support this Kenyan armed forces to make a base in a Somalia. What a shame?

    • I totally agree with you that the Kenyan army has committed crimes in NFD but so are the Ethiopians, look at the rebels in the north namely SNM singing and dancing for Ethiopia, we lost our pride in EAST AFrica. We become a punch of animals that want to eat each other alive and worst of all some want to divide us even further, having said that there is nothing wrong with Kenya fighting Shabaab since the government in Mogadishu could not and of course nothing wrong with the support they threw behind Madoobe since he fought with them side by side. The bottom line is that if Somalis want thier pride then they must unite otherwise the game is that my enemies enemy is my friend.

      • So if you lost your pride in East Africa, then blame yourselves for supporting a cruel dictator called Siyad Barre, who destroyed the unity of Somali people by purposely targeting any Somali who happened not from darood clan.

The day one only one clan will rule the whole of Somalia and Somaliland is over. You can cry your lungs out for Siyad the criminal. We the Somalilander we are in much better position now than we ever been. Thanks Allah SNM and USC kick out the evil dictator out of Somalia.

      • Do not worry about kenya, worry about your neck of the woods. kenya did no destroyed somalia, we who did it's Hawiye moryaan and their emossional freinds, they kept somalia 2o years instability looted the resource that all somalis created and put together on broad daylight. this go down with somalis history.

Kenya hosted more than 1.5 million somalis half of them refugee, more tahn 150,000 somalis went abroad from either refugee camps or inside kenya. so, who's help who.

  2. Let us wait and see because this game is at its infancy. The government of Somalia and its people cannot accept the fiasco that is shaping up in Kismayo with the help of Kenya . Proclaiming Ahmed Madobe Islam leader of Kismayo in a hurry and at a time when 300 of the original 800 delegates boycotted the gathering will create a situation of war. If folks from Qorehei and Puntland think that they can pre-empt the efforts of the legitimate government of Somalia and create an exclusive and illegitimate administration in Lower Juba, they are totally mistaken.
Furthermore, Ahmed Madobe was a member of Al-shabaab terrorist organization and to reward such a man to impose his will on our native population in the region is not acceptable see here

Instead of being declared head of a region, Ahmed Madobe should be brought to justice for the crimes he committed as a member of a terrorist organization.
Kenya should be asked to withdraw its troops from Somali soil now and stop empowering criminals to claim that they head an administration.

    • I totally agree with Allemagan, these(Raskiyamboni Warlord) are all Islamic Extrimist, Ethiopianand Kenyan Intelligence Services.

  3. Somalis became the low of the lowest and have no moralities or honour whatsoever in this world. Look at those whom we used as our domestic workers when Somalimen were men in Kenya are now raping and killing Somali women in every way they like without any sort of fear. I was young when I left Kenya, but I still remember that the Kenyans were not even dare to go close to our women let alone to touch them. Now, Somalis are great heroes for each other. If I ever return to my place of birth, I would rather prefer to be a Masai than a Somali in Kenya.

  4. After Ato Meles Zenawi's death, it would appear that the Ethiopian Govts are slowly backing away
from the Somalia conflicts while the Kenyan Govts are stepping up their conflicts with the
war-torn Somalia. It's quite natural for the Ethiopia whose clandestine hosts the AU HQs
would not afford to show long term hostilities to the Somalia crisis. Therefore, Let the Kenyans
burn out in the Somalia euphoria madness.
    Cheers.

  5. What a wonderful article that shows the failure of Kenya in Somalia. Now their intelligence officials turned to be writers of fake opinions in their papers.Shameful, worthless corrupt Kenyans.

    • You have no moral authority to condemn Kenyans after the immense sacrifices we have done for you. Hosting distraught, tired and sick Somalis in Kenyan soil. I have alot of Somali friends and they have alot of respect for us. Just because there could be one rougue element you cannot condemn the rest wholesomely without being challenged. The best way forward is to embrace peace, repartriation, reconstruction and creation of wealth for the thousands of Somalis. That kind of attitude will not take you anywhere brother.

  6. Faqash Dewarf. There is no govenment is Somali-Italiano for about thirty years. What you see for the last 20 years are foreign made GACANKU-RIMIS uneduated and illiterate killers, faqash remanents, warlords, gangs, it is a shame to call Culsaw's artificial figment a government. Shame on you If you know what shame is that Culsaw's illegal regime is a government. He is ruling from inside the Burundi tanks,

    • Somalia has got an official government led by Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. He is in charge of whole Somalia. Kismayo crisis should be resolved in Mogadishu by Somalis, not refugees from Ethiopia and Kenya like Madobe,Mahbub and other useless figures. PRESIDENT HASSAN all Somalis are happy for you.Ignore the refugees, and you need to issue an order to send them back to their homes.VIVA Madaxweyne Xasan

    • Ok let me explain something to you. I always believed the Isaq people were the smartest among us, the most educated and the most reasonable. Now, everyday I come to this site, all I see is people not only same language, same religion, same culture and all that but wax aanan kala weyneyn. I only see tribal hate, ignorance, curse. If anyone looks at any Somali, all they see is Somali. btw I believe Somali is shared by all of you. You might differ in many other things but tribal/clan disease is something you all share. You try to solve your arguments with tribal name calling. Is there a single Somali intellectual among you? I don't care if you are from the North or from the South, as long as you can convince me how you are right and the other is wrong. You all stink, you all deserve to be called savages. Now if you Osman jama think Ahmed Madobe or any other qabqable is destroying one tribe, you are sick and delusion. No man carrying a gun is good for the Somali people. The Kenya forces reported in here never discriminated us in the north western Kenya. In case you don't know who lives in there from your people, That is where the largest Isaq business people live. Anyways, may Allah save my people.

  9. I was watching these people in Kismayo and neighbouring villages. They look and talk more like Kenyans than Somalis. Even the name of Kismayo sounds more Kenyan than Somali. It looks like Kenyans have set foot on their land. So where is this fuss of Madobe-Hirale-Culusow all coming from? If we dig up history of Kismayo, I am sure we will find some link with the Kikuyus.
