Mr. Mahmud Yusuf Ali, director of the NDRA’s Internally Displaced Persons and IDPs, says the number of internally displaced persons is one thousand, three hundred and three families.
He also stated the number of displaced regions and the scale of each region. He said this while presenting a report to the Standing Committee of the Somaliland House of elders, on Sunday the 22nd of December, 2019.
The current number of internally displaced is one thousand three hundred families, and six thousand sixteen eighteen persons living in the whole country, in the Marood- jeh region seventeen thousand two hundred and forty-one families, Eighteen thousand and sixty-three families in Sanaag region, ten thousand and three hundred and six families in Awdal region, five thousand and nine hundred and nine families in Sahil region, twenty-nine thousand and two hundred and six families in Togdheer region, twenty thousand and hundred and seven-plus twenty families in Sool region which accumulated to one hundred and one thousand and three families are internally displaced.
