The PFM reform Coordination Department of the Ministry of Finance Development and the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the House of Representatives have jointly organized a workshop on the review and amendment of the Law on the Prevention of the Misappropriation of Public Assets and combating corruption ( law no: 38/2007) in compliance with the international best practices and Legislative Guide for the Implementation of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

The workshop was attended by representatives from the Attorney General of the State, Solicitor General of the state, Good Governance Commission, The Central Bank and academia.
The stakeholders discussed the loopholes and recommended to incorporate the missing provisions of the Act.
