H.E President Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud Silanyo has issued Presidential Decree #JSL/M/XERM/249-3183/042015 appointing the new head of Somaliland Diaspora Agency.
President Silanyo has in accordance with powers bestow to him by the constitution (Article 90)section 3 and the important role the Somaliland Diaspora Agency plays in elevating the interests of the nation.
President Silanyo has appointed Mr. Abdi Abdullah Hersi as the new head of Somaliland Diaspora Agency under the ministry of foreign Affairs & international cooperation
Mandate:
SDA is governmental body which fall under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & international cooperation established with presidential degree No JSL/M/DM/249/0133/08210 dated on 26/8/2010 and stands for Somaliland Diaspora Relations worldwide. It has then been part of the incumbent party political program to establish Diaspora relations.
SDA has the mandate to operate in strengthening Diaspora relations and engaging Somaliland Diaspora communities in national development and shall collaborate with the Diaspora communities, key government institutions and the other stakeholders of concern.
