In Berbera, EUCAP Field Office Somaliland is working out a Tactics and boarding instructor course for the Somaliland Coast Guard.
The first two weeks of training will take place onshore, including safety, first aid, and basic tactics. The next period of two weeks at sea will include seamanship, safety at sea and tactics and boarding.
To develop their skills as future trainers of the Coast Guard, the participants will also act in the role of instructor. During the course, they will teach each other on the topics they have received. After concluding the four weeks of training, the participants will be able to act as tactics and boarding as instructors for the mobile training unit.
