The COVID 19 inoculation exercise has been diversely taken up countrywide within all major regions. Sixty thousand initial vaccinations are slated to be done in this pilot scheme.
Togdheer, Awdal, Sahil, Sanaag and Sool regions have seen the provincial and district officials being vaccinated against the coronavirus pandemic that is currently sweeping the world in its second and third waves.
In mobilizing the members of the public to undergo the exercise, the regional and area leaders were at the forefront to sway any misconception against the inoculation such that more and more people may be vaccinated.
This follows the gesture shown by the Head of the State H.E. President Muse Bihi Abdi who was vaccinated against COVID 19 earlier in the week in front of cameras.
The aim of the department is to initially inoculate the frontline health workers and aged people.
