The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Muse Bihi Abdi, on behalf of the Somaliland Republic, sends his condolences to the Somaliland lawyers association, intellectuals, family, relatives, friends and the people of the Republic of Somaliland on the passing of the late Somaliland lawmaker the Late Jama Elmi Hashi who passed away on 16/11/2019.
The Late Jama Elmi Hashi was a member of the committee which drafted the constitution of the Republic of Somaliland, he served as attorney general, the director-general of the Ministry of Justice and the legal adviser to the former government of President Late Mohamed Haji Ibrahim Egal, he became Chairman of the Somaliland Lawyers and at the time he was a Legal Adviser to the Somaliland House of Elders, passed away today while performing his national duties.
The President described the Late Jama Elmi Hashi as a hardworking scholar who played a key role in the country building and peace process.
May Allah (SWT) bless his soul our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.His untimely death is a great loss to his family and to the Somaliland nation at large.
