The government of Switzerland has revealed that it has unveiled the second phase of a livestock project they are implementing in the Republic of Somaliland.
The Swiss Embassy mentioned in a statement that they issued of holding a meeting in the capital Hargeisa which they had with the Minister of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Development Hon. Said Sulub and officials of the ministry concerning the livestock resilience projects planned for Awdal.
“The Embassy of Switzerland is honored to be part of the inauguration of the 2nd phase of the resilience project in the Awdal region of Somaliland”, said the statement.
It added that they do cooperate closely with the government of Somaliland and line international NGOs.
“Working with the government of Somaliland and the World Food Organization (FAO) is in addressing the challenges of animal feeds and fodder in the livestock value chain. Kudos to all stakeholders for their commitment.”
