The Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland has organized a crucial meeting to analyze the Better Life project, focusing on evaluating the performance and progress achieved during the project’s implementation period.

The meeting brought together partner agencies working with the Ministry, including the FCDO, UNICEF, HHELMIS, and the organizations implementing this program. They jointly discussed the outcomes achieved and the important lessons learned from the project’s execution.

During the proceedings, key sessions were held focusing on:

· Program Design and Coordination: Analyzing how the project aligned with government development plans and the methods of implementation.
· Health Service Delivery: Assessing performance, achievements, and existing challenges.
· Equity and Community Participation: Ensuring that services reached all segments of society fairly.

Additionally, in-depth discussions were held regarding the sustainability of the program, with particular emphasis placed on the importance of local ownership, increasing funding, and improving the coordination of health services.

Finally, the meeting concluded with actionable conclusions and recommendations jointly proposed by the Ministry of Health Development, FCDO, UNICEF, and the implementing agencies, focusing on the future improvement of health services in Somaliland.
