Hargeisa – H.E. Abdirahman Dahir Aden, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Somaliland, accompanied by Director General Mr. Mohamed Abdirahman Hassan, hosted a farewell meeting in honor of Ms. Prestage Murine, Deputy Head of Office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The Minister expressed his gratitude to Ms. Murine for her outstanding cooperation with the Ministry and various government institutions throughout her tenure in Somaliland. He commended her dedication, professionalism, and efficiency, noting that she worked closely with the Ministry on a number of significant issues during her time in office.
The Minister further praised IOM for its continued collaboration with Somaliland’s institutions across a wide range of matters requiring international cooperation. He underscored the organization’s important role and stressed the need to further strengthen cooperation between IOM, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other government institutions in addressing issues that demand international support and coordinated efforts.
For her part, Ms. Murine thanked the Minister and the Director General for organizing the farewell meeting. She expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to work with various institutions of the Republic of Somaliland, describing the experience as highly valuable and enriching in terms of professional knowledge and expertise.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Abdishakur Abdillahi Osman, Head of Logistics of the Somaliland Immigration Department.
