Washington DC — A meeting was held today in Washington DC between the Speaker of the Somaliland Parliament and other officials, where discussions focused on developments in the Eastern Regions of Somaliland.
The meeting was described as warm and productive, with participants exchanging views on key issues affecting the eastern parts of the country.
Speaking after the meeting, one of the participants expressed satisfaction with the discussions, stating: “I am pleased that we were able to discuss and exchange perspectives on matters concerning the Eastern Regions.”
Special recognition was given to Professor Yaasiin, who was described as a respected elder who has made significant contributions to the nation. “Prof. Yaasiin is an elder who has contributed greatly to this nation, and he deserves to be consulted and welcomed,” the statement read.
The meeting underscores ongoing efforts to engage with stakeholders on regional matters and highlights the importance of dialogue in addressing issues affecting Somaliland’s eastern communities.
