Washington, D.C.- The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro), took part in a luncheon held in honor of him and his delegation by the International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF), headquartered in Washington, D.C.
The discussions centered on the critical importance of preserving natural resources, the environment, and marine ecosystems, as well as avenues for collaboration between Somaliland and U.S. institutions engaged in environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF) is an independent organization based in Washington, D.C., dedicated to environmental conservation, natural resource management, wildlife protection, ocean governance, and sustainable development.
The President of the Republic of Somaliland extended his sincere appreciation for the invitation and warm reception offered by the International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF). He underscored that the protection of natural resources and the advancement of sustainable economic development are essential pillars for Somaliland’s future, noting that international partnerships can play a pivotal role in strengthening resource management, safeguarding the environment, and generating lasting economic opportunities.
This luncheon forms part of the sustained diplomatic efforts undertaken by the President and his extensive delegation in Washington, D.C., aimed at deepening cooperation between the Republic of Somaliland and the United States, and fostering ties grounded in mutual interests, natural resource conservation, and a forward-looking strategic vision.
