Berbera, December 22, 2025 – A high-level delegation from the Ethiopian Federal Government today conducted a working visit to the Port of Berbera and the Berbera oil storage terminal. The delegation inspected the port’s infrastructure, operational procedures, and oil storage capacity, with particular focus on the strategic role of the Port of Berbera in facilitating regional trade and supporting the broader economy of the region.
Officials from relevant Somaliland government departments and representatives from DP World, who received the delegation at the key sites visited, provided detailed explanations on the ongoing development of the port, the expansion of its services, and how it can contribute to strengthening financial and commercial cooperation between Somaliland and Ethiopia.
