The delegation led by the Director-General of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Mr. Shucayb Cismaan Maxamuud, accompanied by the Director-General of the Energy Commission, Mr. Maxamed Maxamuud Cabdi, the Director of the Energy Department, and a number of senior officials from the World Bank, conducted a working visit to the Saaxil Regional Headquarters in Berbera.
The purpose of the Director-General’s visit was to inspect and evaluate the site where the ministry plans to expand electricity services to the city of Berbera, a project supported by the World Bank to provide the community of Berbera with reliable and accessible electricity.
During his visit to Berbera, the Director-General also conducted a visit and held meetings with the officials of DP World and the Free Zone in Berbera to assess their electricity needs and understand the challenges they face.
