Hargeisa – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro), made an early morning visit today to the Kidney Dialysis Unit at Hargeisa General Hospital. During his visit, he met one-on-one with the patients reliant on the service, gaining firsthand insight into their health conditions and the challenges they sometimes face.
The President listened closely to the patients’ complaints and needs, emphasizing that healthcare is a national obligation and that the Government bears the utmost responsibility for ensuring access to quality medical services.
During the course of his visit, the President received a detailed briefing from the General Director of Hargeisa Hospital, who provided an update on the current state of the dialysis service, existing needs, and the obstacles hindering its operations.
President Irro pledged that the Government would promptly address the needs and grievances within the dialysis service, particularly concerning dialysis machines, medical supplies, and other essential equipment required to sustain this life-saving service for patients who regularly depend on kidney dialysis.
