President of Djibouti H.E Ismael Omar Guelleh, on Thursday, received SL’s FM, Dr. Essa Keyd Mohamud, who is leading a high-powered delegation that is currently in Djibouti on working visit.
The visit embarked by the FM of Somaliland to Djibouti was prompted to hold discussions with Djibouti officials on ways and means to bolster the existing partnership between Djibouti and Somaliland in the fields of trade and security.
The delegation also is focusing to identify areas that the two neighboring countries can fully cooperate.
The discussions then highlighted the need for the two parties sharing a common border to intensify their security cooperation, which is essential for a successful commercial integration.
For his part, Minister Dr Isse commended the reception of his delegation by the President of Djibouti Mr. Ismail, and said that the issues discussed were key to security cooperation and drought
The FM of Somaliland is accompanied by the minister of defense.
