The Somaliland Ministry of Energy and Minerals in accordance with the Annual Plan to develop and enhance the intellectual and professional capacity of the workforce has awarded certificates to 15 members of the Geologist Department of Minerals and a graduate of IUA University – Sudan underwent a two-week training course (8th-25th of March 2020) at the Ministry’s conference hall and two other sites situated in the districts of Mandera and Dhagah-Guure on the various geological features.

The two weeks Ministry of Energy and Minerals training was dubbed “The Geology Field Techniques for Mineral Exploration Training”.

Mr. Mohamed Yusuf Ismail, the Director-General congratulated them on the successful completion of the two weeks training and reminded them that the knowledge they gained will enhance their roles in executing their designated roles assigned to them and also boost their work and assessing changes in service the society and national development.

“The Ministry of Energy and Minerals would like to use this opportunity to thank Mr. Charles Sayi who facilitated the two weeks training whose aim was enhancing the knowledge base which is crucial for producing a competent, professional workforce that will be responsive, effective, and efficient in achieving the objectives of the National Development,” he said.

Mr. Mohamed Yusuf Ismail, the Director-General awarded Mr. Charles Sayi a certificate of appreciation and 15 members of the Geologist Department of Minerals and a graduate of IUA – Sudan for the completion of the training.
