HARGEISA, Somaliland — The President of the Republic of Somaliland has officially appointed Dr. Mohamed Omar Haji Mohamud as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the State of Israel.
In accordance with a presidential decree, Dr. Mohamud has been vested with all the privileges, authorities, rights, and responsibilities pertaining to the diplomatic post. The appointment aligns with the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland, national legislation, and established international norms governing diplomatic relations.
The appointment is effective immediately.
