Somaliland’s Ministry of Education and Science has held a review of the national curriculum cum consultative meeting with stakeholders of basic education in Hargeisa.

The conference on the review of the National Curriculum being done in phases is being done in chapters with the initial one having been held in Borama for Awdal, Gebiley and Selel regions.

This one held at Gandhi Hotel in Hargeisa drew participants from Maroodi-jeeh, Sahil and Haut regions.

The conference is to analytically revise the national and consultation meeting with the stakeholders.

The deputy minister of the Ministry of Education Hon. Abdihakin Saeed Musa, the director general of the ministry, Mr. Abdirisaq Jama Noor and the director of the Department of Curriculum, Mohamed Ali Omar made various speeches.

The whole essence, they echoed, was the need of having a higher quality and applicable curriculum that would raise the educational bar to a higher level.

It is expected to cover the whole country.
