HARGEISA- The majority of officials and leadership  of justice and welfare party (UCID) in Togdheer province, collectively resigned according to a press conference held in Burao on Friday.

The party’s officials included the vice-chairman of UCID in Togdheer Mr. Ibrahim Aden Hassan, the head of  the regional   of  women wing Miss Safiya Mohamed Abdi,  the regional  spokesman of UCID Mukhtar Mohamed Jama, the youth leader of  Burao district Abdirisaq Sugal Jibril and the secretary of youth wing in  Togdeer province.

 

According to Mr. Ibrahim Aden Hassan their decision of resigning was a unanimous one. He likewise announced the decision of entirely quitting the party altogether hence rescind their membership.

“I am confirming that from today (Friday) my announcement of resignation came from my heart and we won’t be a member of UCID party where I signed off”, said the former vice-chairman of Togdeer UCID party.

 

The regional spokesman of UCID Mukhtar Mohamed Jama on his part thanked their supporters and party members in Togdeer, and added “We completely decided to resign collectively apart from the chairman of the party who remains in his position. We are praising those were worked us during our tenure.”

 

“We will make consultations with our supporters and constituents on where we should decamp to in the near future,” said the former regional chairman of the youth wing.

An independent source from Togdeer Province has asserted that the mass resignations resulted due to the wrangles, dispute and political impasse leadership of UCID’s party particularly the chairman and presidential candidate, Faisal Ali Warabe and Jamal Ali Hussein respectively.
