A couple of days ago President Barack Obama slammed Donald “Only-I-Can-Fix-It” Trump for showing up on Russian state-owned network and dissing America’s “dishonest” media.

Obama rhetorically wondered out loud: “Think about the fact that [Putin] is Donald Trump’s role model. I have to do business with Putin, I have to do business with Russia, that’s part of foreign policy, but I don’t go around saying, ‘That’s my role model.’ Can you imagine Ronald Reagan idolizing somebody like that?”

Nah! Ronald Reagan would have said, I’mgonna “write the final pages of the history of the Soviet Union”, or was it the “Evil  Empire”?

Ron Reagan would have said, “Mr. Putin, if you seek prosperity for Russia, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Putin, tear down this wall!”

Talking about a wall?

Donald Trump would have told Ron  Reagan, “I will build a great wall — and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me –and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

Roll over Ron!

The wall-busting party of Ron Reagan is today the wall-building party of Donald Trump.

The anti-slavery party of Lincoln is today the party of Donald Trump and the party of the hooded hoods of the Ku Klux Klan and Imperial Wizard David Duke.

Dishonest Don is always moaning and groaning about the media.

Trump groused, “The media has been unbelievably dishonest. I mean, they’ll take a statement that you make, which is perfect, and they’ll cut it up and chop it up and shorten it or lengthen it, or do something with it, then all of a sudden, it doesn’t look like as good as it did when you actually said it.”

Does Trump mean the “dishonest media” that cuts and chops up a perfect statement like, “An ‘extremely credible source’ has called my office and told me that Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a fraud.” Or, “You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”

What a shame for the dishonest media to chop and dice Trump’s asinine statements.

Donald Trump accusing the media of dishonesty is like Charley Ponzi outing Pinocchio as a liar.

I am not saying I disagree with Trump on the “media”.

I just prefer to confess my agreement with H.L. Mencken, “the Sage of Baltimore”, who said,  “American journalism (like the journalism of any other country) is predominantly paltry and worthless. Its pretensions are enormous, but its achievements are insignificant.”

Paltry and worthless? Ouch, ouch! How the truth stings like a wasp! (Or is it like a bee?  Maybe the truth floats like a butterfly, but will the “dishonest media” ever catch the butterfly?)

Trump reminds me of the Raymond Shaw character in Richard Condon’s novel and 1962 motion picture, “The Manchurian Candidate”.

It is a story about the Soviet government’s attempts to take over the United States by use of a brainwashed presidential candidate. Set during the Korean War, the Soviets capture Shaw, the son of a prominent right-wing political family,  along with his platoon and take them to Manchuria in China.  Shaw and a couple of soldiers return to U.S. lines a few days later “brainwashed”.  Shaw is praised and later given the highest medal for saving the lives of his fellow soldiers.  But Shaw had been specially brainwashed to be an unwitting assassin of a U.S. presidential candidate. Whenever Shaw sees a Queen of Diamonds playing card, he blindly obeys whatever order he is given without any  memories of the actions he took.

I am not suggesting here that Trump has been programmed by Putin to get rid of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. All Trump said was, “Hillary wants to abolish the Second Amendment…  Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.”

“There is, I don’t know” what if the second Amendment people should do?

Ice Hillary?! Did somebody show Trumputin the Queen of Diamonds playing card?

Trump, the assassin-in-chief?

I mean the character-assassin-in-chief.

Michael Morell, the former CIA chief pretty much said Trump is Putin’s Manchurian candidate.

Morell pulled no punches when he said, “In the intelligence business, we would say that Mr. Putin had recruited Mr. Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation.”  Morell added, “Mr. Putin played upon Mr. Trump’s vulnerabilities by complimenting him. He responded just as Mr. Putin had calculated.”

Then hordes of top Republican national security officials and experts came out and body slammed Trump: “We are convinced that [Trump] would be a dangerous President and would put at risk our country’s national security and well-being.”

“Recruited Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation” in intelligence-speak sounds like  “brainwashed” in Manchuria by the Soviets?

How ironic that “Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life”.

But how did Putin “recruit” Trump to become an “unwitting agent” of the Russian Federation?

Using “part light-induced” and “part drug-induced” techniques as in the Manchurian Candidate?

Or was it through his campaign manager and advisor Paul Manafort.

Manafort has long and deep ties to pro-Russian politicians in Ukraine and with other Russian businessmen. An anti-corruption investigative body in the Ukraine recently produced a ledger with 22 entries for Manafort, totaling $12.7 million in payments from 2007 to 2012.  Manafort resigned when his Russian ties were made public.

Vladimir Potanin, the Russian  billionaire, is Vladmir Putin’s buddy. Trump was Potanin’s executive producer on the Russian version of Trump’s “The Apprentice”. Potanin is  deeply tied to the Russian government and made off like a robber during the rigged and inside-tracked “privatization” of the Soviet economy in the 1990s.

So it is the fearsome threesome together: Vlad, Vlad and Trumputin!

But how is it that Trump is talking straight from Putin’s talking points?

ISIS is the creation of Obama and Clinton, declared Trump. “ISIS is honoring President Obama. He is the founder of ISIS. He is the founder of ISIS, okay? He is the founder. He founded ISIS. And I would say the cofounder would be crooked Hillary Clinton.”

I wonder if Trump suffers from palilalia, a speech disorder characterized by the involuntary repetition of syllables, words, or phrases.

That is exactly what Putin said last year. The U.S. armed, financed, organized and let loose ISIS to wreak havoc in Syria.

Did someone show Trumputin the Queen of Diamonds playing card when he said Obama is the founder of ISIS?

A few days ago at a rally in Greenville, North Carolina, Trump said on the first day of his presidency he would call in his top generals and give them a “simple instruction” to in 30 days submit to the Oval Office “a plan for soundly and quickly defeating ISIS” in 30 days.

Retired Army Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling said Trump is clueless and does not understand that “there are several other elements of national security that will help defeat ISIS.”

It is Hertling who is clueless.

Trump said, “I know more about ISIS than the generals do. Believe me.”

Why doesn’t Hertling believe Trump, the Idiot-in-Chief to be.

Trump said he would throw out all of the deadbeat and rip-off artist NATO members on their tooshes in a New York minute if they don’t pay to play. “They’re ripping off the United States. And you know what we do? Nothing. Either they have to pay up for past deficiencies or they have to get out. And if it breaks up NATO, it breaks up NATO” declared  Trump.

Putin has been arguing vociferously for the disbanding of NATO since it has outlived its usefulness or should be extended to include Russia. Of course, Russia could never join even if offered the opportunity.

Did someone show Trumputin the Queen of Diamonds playing card when he said give the boot to the NATO deadbeats?

A few weeks ago, Trump said he had never spoken to Putin. “I have nothing to do with Putin. I’ve never spoken to him. I don’t know anything about him other than he will respect me.”

In May 2014, Trump spoke at the National Press Club in Washington, DC and said, “I was in Moscow recently and I spoke, indirectly and directly, with President Putin, who could not have been nicer, and we had a tremendous success.”

Obviously, I don’t believe in the whole brainwashing and mind control stuff.

I am using the  words “mind” and “brain” metaphorically when talking about Trump.

In the Manchurian Candidate (motion picture), the brainwasher tells Zilkov, head of Russian security:

Raymond will remain an outwardly normal, productive, sober, and respected member of the community and, I should say, if properly used, entirely police-proof.  His brain  has not only been washed, as they say… It has been dry cleaned.

What a fascinating thought to think about a brain dry cleaned at the KGB Dry Cleaners?

How ironic that “Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life”.

Trump says there is nothing to it.  “Well, I think when he [Putin] calls me brilliant, I’ll take the compliment, OK?” Chill!

Trump says he can’t help being a genius nor should be blamed if other people call him a “genius”. He reminded everyone, “I went to the Wharton School of Business. I’m, like, a really smart person.”

Trump is eager to please Putin. “I’m saying that I’d possibly have a good relationship. He’s been very nice to me.  If we can make a great deal for our country and get along with Russia that would be a tremendous thing. I would love to try it.”

According to Dishonest Don, Putin just didn’t have a chance in his brilliant splendor. Putin, the man of brawn is just magnetically attracted to the man with the brains.

Trump wistfully  recollected, “I have no relationship with him (Putin) other than he called me a genius. He said Donald Trump is a genius and he is going to be the leader of the party and he’s going to be the leader of the world or something.”

Trump said, “It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond.”

Obama could not let that one go unanswered. “If you control the media and you’ve taken away everybody’s civil liberties and you jail dissidents, that’s what happens.  The pollster calls you up and says, do you support the guy who if you don’t support him he might throw you in jail, you say, ‘Yes, I love that guy.’”

To say Vlad Putin is “a man highly respected in his country” is like saying the Black Mamba is highly respected in Africa.

But Vlad did say, Trump “is a really brilliant and talented person, without any doubt. It’s not our job to judge his qualities, that’s a job for American voters, but he’s the absolute leader in the presidential race. He says he wants to move on to a new, more substantial relationship, a deeper relationship with Russia, how can we not welcome that? Of course we welcome that.”

The Old Bard himself wrote, “The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.” Trump says he is “a really smart person”.

It seems Trump and Putin are in the same mutual admiration society. Two peas in a pod.

But who is Trump gonna call when there is something strange in the neighborhood? When Trump is seeing things running through his head?

Not Ghost Busters!

When Trump needed help hacking into Hillary’s email who did he call?

Putin!

Trump pleaded, “Russia, if you are listening, I hope that you are able to find the 30,000 e-mails that are missing. I think that you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

“Rewarded mightily by our press”?

Which press does Dishonest Don have in mind?

The one that “chops, shortens or lengthens” Trumps mumbo jumbo or the one that is “paltry, worthless and pretentious”?

For James Bond  it was “From Russia With Love”. For Trumputin KGB, it is “To Russia With Love.”

What are Americans to do with Trumputin and the “paltry, worthless and pretentious” media?

with-herVote for Hillary Clinton, of course!
