Somali ambassador to Kenya Mohamud Ahmed Nur, popularly known as Tarsan, stormed out of a meeting convened by Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta with foreign ambassadors on Tuesday to protest Somaliland’s participation.

After showing up for the meeting, Tarsan saw representatives from the Somaliland office in Nairobi and its flag inside the venue. He abruptly walked out of the venue where the Kenyan leader was expected to give a speech.

The Somali government and its embassy in Kenya have not immediately commented on the move.

Bilateral ties between Somaliland and Kenya consolidated following the official visit of SL President H.E Musa Bihi Abdi to Nairobi and held talks with their Kenyan counterpart.
