Hargeisa – The government of the Republic of Somaliland has appointed a diplomatic envoy to represent its interests in Greece.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland has named a special diplomatic envoy to Greece: Dimitrios Tourikis, a Greek national.

This appointment marks a step forward in Somaliland’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international relations and diplomatic cooperation with European countries.

The appointment of a Special Envoy to Greece carries several important implications for Somaliland, including:

· Deepening diplomatic engagement with Greece, especially following recent reports of active bilateral diplomatic contact.
· The new envoy could also play a key role in attracting investment and fostering cooperation across various sectors.
