Hargeisa – Hon. Samsam Mohamed Salah, Deputy Minister and Acting Minister of Environment and Climate Change, alongside the Director of the Marine Environment Department and the Department’s Advisor, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague to her office today. The visiting delegation was headed by Professor MVDr. David Modrý, Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources.

Focus on Marine Research and Conservation

The meeting centered on discussions regarding an upcoming research project on sea turtles, a threatened marine species, as well as exploring ways to enhance the protection of marine environments.

This engagement carries both significant academic value and strategic importance, promoting cross-institutional international collaboration, driving forward scientific inquiry, and supporting the conservation of marine biodiversity.
