Mogadishu – The United Kingdom has stated that Somalia’s security transition depends on robust international partnerships and continued support. The remarks followed a meeting in Mogadishu between the UK Ambassador to Somalia, Charles King, and the Acting Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of UNSOS, Qurat ul-Ain Sadozai.
During the meeting, the UK expressed gratitude to UNSOS for its critical support to the AUSSOM mission and the Somali Security Forces. The UK also reaffirmed its commitment to backing Somalia’s security process.
