Waddani Party Unveils 15-Member Organizing Committee for 3rd National Convention

Hargeisa, Somaliland — The Somaliland National Party (Waddani) has officially constituted a 15-member Organizing Committee to oversee its 3rd National Convention, slated to commence on November 16, 2026.

The appointments were formalized in a party directive dated September 14, 2026, and signed by Waddani Chairman Hersi Haji Hassan Ali. The announcement follows a preliminary meeting between party leadership and the newly appointed committee, during which officials discussed strategies to expedite preparations and ensure the smooth execution of the convention—the party’s highest decision-making assembly.

In a statement accompanying the directive, Chairman Hersi emphasized the caliber of the appointees, describing them as individuals distinguished by both competence and extensive experience.

“I have today appointed the Organizing Committee for the 3rd Waddani Party Convention, which will facilitate this gathering, the party’s highest body,” the Chairman stated. “I pray to God to assist them in this significant responsibility.”

Acknowledgement and Next Steps
