NAIROBI, KENYA – The Ambassador of the Republic of Somaliland to Kenya, Dr. Mohamed Abdilahi Omar, today welcomed the Israeli Ambassador to Kenya, Gideon Behar, to the Somaliland Representative Office for a high-level diplomatic engagement.
The discussions centered on Somaliland’s historical trajectory and democratic development, alongside an in-depth exchange on the evolving geopolitical landscape of the Red Sea. The envoys also reviewed broader political and security trends shaping the Horn of Africa.
Following the meeting, Ambassador Omar remarked: “It was a genuine pleasure to receive my friend, Ambassador Behar. We held a constructive dialogue covering Somaliland’s political journey, the current dynamics in the Red Sea, and the regional security architecture. Exchanges like these are vital for fostering mutual understanding.”
