Field Office Somaliland supported the Somaliland Maritime Security and Coordination Office (MSCO) in organising its quarterly meeting and national strategic consultation on Crisis Management and Resilience, aimed at strengthening coordination and cooperation among key stakeholders in Somaliland’s maritime sector.
Field Office Somaliland supported the Somaliland Maritime Security and Coordination Office (MSCO) in organising its quarterly meeting and national strategic consultation on Crisis Management and Resilience, aimed at strengthening coordination and cooperation among key stakeholders in Somaliland’s maritime sector.
The consultation brought together key stakeholders to discuss maritime threats, critical infrastructure protection, crisis coordination and the continuity of essential services.
Discussions also focused on physical and cybersecurity, implementation of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, public communication, institutional responsibilities, and cooperation between government institutions, the private sector and international partners.
Participants identified key dependencies, existing gaps and practical priority actions to strengthen preparedness, improve crisis coordination and enhance the resilience of Somaliland’s maritime sector.
